This word is used as a loophole by Astrologers! J There is NO CUSP when it comes to Astrology! J Let me repeat myself again – THERE IS NO CUSP in Astrology – i.e. you are never a Sun Sign or Moon Sign Cusp – you are either one or the other sign & never a cusp!

1. This word is used in “Linda Goodman’s Sun Signs” quite a bit. First of all Western Sun Sign calendar itself is wrong! It does not use Ayanash or Procession of Equinox in consideration! Example: 25^th August and even 14^th of Sept is Sun Sign LEO and not Virgo and NO 22^nd or 21^st Sept is NOT A CUSP – if at all there was a cusp it would be on 16 / 17^th Sept but again NO CUSP – either Leo or Virgo! http://astromnc.blogspot.com/2009/07/your-correct-real-sun-sign.html

2. This is simple to explain using Karma principle: You past karma will decide the Signs of your planets and hence it would never be a cusp.

3. You are either supposed to be a sentimental Cancer Sun Sign OR EXTROVERT FIRE Brand LEO Sun Sign! You cannot be a cusp as the ELEMENT of the sign and the ATTITUDE of the sign changes completely with the sign change. A cusp would be a VERY BIG LOGICAL mistake!

6. Sometimes astrologers say that it is a “SANDHI-Lagna” i.e. CUSP Lagna. For example: not sure if Mithun or Kirk; in such a case, physical appearance would help a lot. Also, the BEST logical analysis by observing the person would be to check with HOUSE the SUN must be located from ascendant – For example: The 5^th house Sun and the 6^th house Sun would have a very different approach. This would help you understand the ascendant. If you do not know the person and do not have access to video or pictures etc then prashna-kundali is used. The KP method is the most effective but again every method has its limits; the best is to check physical appearance and past events.

“AstroMNC” enters the “1 Million Club”

The blog has reached 1 Million hits milestone today on 2^nd Feb2012! J It started in June-2009 with the 1^st post of sade-sati. Until end of 2010, I was posting only core-Astro articles and not for “consumers” of astrology. The momentum was achieved with Annual Rashi Bhavishya articles at the end of 2010 and throughout 2011. The most loved articles initially were Sade-sati and Shani-Mahadasha as they brought a BRAND NEW perspective that was not seen in many books that have come so far on Astrology. (AstroMNC Numerology Value is 29 = 11 : 11 and 18/9 always repeat for me. I selected AstroMNC due to my initials (MNC) and had not checked Numerological Value. In Marathi this is called as “Loka sange bharhma-dyan, swataha korade pashan!) J

IMHO, my biggest differentiator has been the tendency to relate EVERYTHING to Astrology. It could be called as passion which is an overused word now days; employed even for mere interests & hobbies! J The way Kasparov says in his “How Life Imitates Chess” (for him that is!) that he relates every damn thing to Chess, the same way I try to relate every event to Astrology. It gets stored in my system with appropriate pointers. Again, as Kasparov says, information becomes knowledge, knowledge becomes wisdom and years of practice develop “intuition”. For me it is Astrology, for a Cricket fanatic it would be cricket, for a chess fanatic it would be Chess! So yes, I AM an Astro-FANATIC and I relate EVERY damn thing around me to Astro consciously/subconsciously. I guess that is the reason many a times I make some observations about someone’s Mama/Mousi’s brain or legs or uncle’s heart or grandfather’s siblings’ heart/ankle or a birth mark on ankle/feet; it makes the person a bit awed. They tend to forget that I could be wrong in the immediate next analysis! J

The biggest achievement I feel was of suggesting many frustrated couples about their “Santati-yog”. My effort to relate matters in spiritual & Karma related books to these couple’s issues has worked well. Also some of the best timelines offered by their horoscopes have helped them plan their life better (or is it?). What we have done only we can undo! I sincerely hope that my request/advice to do some good karma has helped them. I am still quite surprised to see so many common ‘grahayog’ repeating in the horoscopes that have santati issues.

I also feel great about myself that most of the folks with gochar Guru aspecting their Horoscope Guru stumble upon my blog and get in touch with me. This shows to me indirectly that I am indeed an “SME” (Subject Matter Expert) they found when they were supposed to get “good advice”! This makes me continue on the same path with conviction. When I would see folks with Shani going over Guru coming in touch with me – I would need to rethink, take a pause and study more and re-strategize my methods/analysis-tantra. But so far so good!!

We are all GHULAM of our own past Karma – NO FATE BUT WHAT WE MAKE! (from T-2). There is nothing we can do to avoid extreme graha-yog in the horoscope BUT we have a choice to do some good karma in the same area where we have done bad-karma in the past life. This would not negate the past karma but certainly soften the blow to your psyche and also fulfill your life purpose.

Destiny and Freewill: The last paragraph brings us to the debate on FREE WILL and DESTINY. You destiny is result or rather a byproduct your own will of the past life(s)! So yes, again your INTENSITY of past karma will decide if you have a “choice” i.e. Free Will or you have to go thru the inevitable Karma cycle. Your soul chooses (or is MADE to choose) parents i.e. the DNA that matches its own past karma – So how you can avoid something you have yourself decided!!? J Common sense would tell you that a given DNA would have some extreme bad things, some extreme good things but 70% things would be middle-class – Here – Karma of this LIFE will CERTAINLY HAVE a GREAT IMPACT – So KARMANYE WADHIKARASTE MA FALESHU KADACHEN is the SINGLEMOST brilliant advice given to the mankind. (promotion nahi mila – work MORE hard, Admission nahi huwa –Study more, Kids issues – Work with orphanages and less privileged kids).

Trying to use a TANTRIK is the WORST thing you can do – trying to bypass your karma has GRAVE consequences – an atomic war could very well be a result of avoided karma using power, money or tantriks! ONE SHOT and the whole area is CLEANED-UP! L Wrath of God falls on to societies that do not have appropriate channels of LAW & ORDER and more imp - JUSTICE! Constitution of a country is SINGLEMOST important factor in order to keep the LIFE going on in that country! Without JUSTICE – We are looking at MASS MURDERS!

Choose LOVE versus HATE always! In AHKHRI RASTA – Anupam Kher tells old Bachchan (Father) that he could not raise his kid on HATRED! It is indeed true. Everybody should be raised with LOTs OF LOVE & care. Govt / A society that neglect kids, girl child, has NO FUTURE as they have priorities elsewhere and not LIFE. (A country should feel ashamed that 40+ kids get drowned in Gujarat in one “simple” accident and there is no RIOT but some religious rumor can cause a riot!!) Please pardon the frustration – I become ghulam of my Mithun Mangal at times! ;)

Our FATE or Destiny is nothing but our OWN Karma and that is why a person like me takes birth on Chandra-Rahu in 1^st house that shows a BURNING DESIRE for publicity (“Mala please changale mhana!”) a POPPULIST person who tries to please all (fails most of the times!) J A tremendous “CRY” of the soul for publicity which was not fulfilled in the past life; who used his knowledge to deceive some people and hence now paying it back as much as possible thru free-service! Internet makes me pay my BAD-Karma much more easily now as I can reach lots of folks – LOT MORE than I might have deceived in the past birth? I am getting a feeling that the bad stuff is getting paid (well, almost) now except for health issues which could crop up SEVERELY in Mangal mahadasha after 10 years. Shani in Kanya aspecting my rashi & lagna swami Mangal (apart from 5 other planets) did not help health from Sept2009 to Nov2011. J

Watching a Movie Multiple Times

You might know a few folks who are movie freaks and have watched cult movies multiples times. I know some folks who have watched “Sholay” 20+ times in theatre – not counting partial ones. My friend Mandar Dadhe knows Agnipath (Bachchan) by heart! J Many of us have “Andaz Apana Apana” by heart and can discuss many scenes from it for hours!

Astro Factors that contribute to this side of the personality:

1. Common factors are: Love for movies/music/art, (Lalit-kala) which is shown by the 5^th house;

2. Ability to ENJOY something (Sukh bhogane ki kala!) i.e. the 4^th house which is Soukhya sthan

3. Emotional need and makeup or ability to remember so much stuff – WATER Signs – Significant planets in water signs of Kirk Vrishchik and Meen!

MULTIPLE PLANETS IN ONE HOUSE in a HOROSCOPE:

Many a times there are multiple planets in a horoscope say 3, 4 or even 5 in one house. In such situations, Guru drushti or Guru on these planets could be magical as it would enhance most effects and limit losses if both Shani and Mangal part of those planets! It is obvious that either good or bad effects both would be highly pronounced in this person’s life. Good days would be very good and bad news from everywhere when things are not good! The following text concentrates ONLY on the effect of these planets of 3 houses that are not in synch with the house these planets are in the horoscope. The immediate next house, the 6^th & the 8^th house from this house are affected in some way.

1. When there are multiple planets in a specific house in the horoscope, they usually cause some harm or say partial fulfillment to the house that is 2, 6 or 8 from that house.

[A] Astangat Planets some quick examples

1. In a Horoscope (natal) Planets that are very close to the Sun or in the same house/rashi as the Sun are called as Astangat or combust. WHY? à They are so because your past karma does not show a great deal of activity (good/bad) with things indicated by that planet. Things indicated by planet would be of course related to the houses the planets own but more so with the KARAKATVA i.e. the things that are Governed by the planet! So this negligible past karma is reflected in the astangat planets in this life.

2. It also means that the efforts in THIS life would have MORE effect on the outcome of those houses and the karakatva of the planet than the PULL of the Destiny (your own past karma)! (Health deficiencies by say Ayurvedic/Homeopathy efforts, other deficiencies by spending effort, time and money)

3. Astangat planets also show that the EGO (the Sun) does not allow the other planets do or given what they can give in that house and rashi! i.e. the separate effect of that planets in WILIN or LUPT in the almighty Sun!

4. I have a friend who has got Mangal in the 5^th house (perfect for sportspeople) in Singh rashi i.e. it has both rashi and sthan-bal for sports. He plays VERY WELL (Cricket in particular) but the Sun is also with Mangal. The Sun is also VERY powerful in the 5^th house as it belongs to Sun in the Nisarg-Kundali (owner of the 5^th Sign!). Here, the Sun, the EGO especially in Leo has affected his sports ventures and has not chosen that path despite all things at disposal. (Former English Tennis player Tim Henman has Surya Mangal in Singh but I guess the Sun in 5^th and Mangal in 23^rd degree).

5. One more example: Shukra in Kanya rashi shows a possibility of an inter-cast affair/marriage. With Mangal it could become more than 1 affair also! But, now PUT SUN in the equation and what you have is that the EGO does not allow the person to get out of the line and have an affair! J The EGO stops the person from degrading from its moral level to have an affair or take an advantage of a person. At the same time however, this SUN stops Mangal & Shukra to give various other good artistic effects also to the fullest or rather it could completely stop it from having those effects.

6. DO NOT get CONFUSED: The Sun with Shani and with Mangal is a **completely** different effect in a horoscope!!! The reduction of the ability of a planet to give results due to Sun should not be confused with the combined outcome of the conjunctions! These planets do modify the effect of the Sun also in turn! Health aspects and have their own effects on the Sun (overall health, heart, eye-power, spine, father, Govt etc). It is just that the Sun does not allow them to go beyond certain sphere of influence or a boundary if you will.

7. You can still have very good artists with Sun and Shukra conjunction but their image (result of power of the Sun/Ego) would not allow them to put ART before that image (Bachchan). You can have very good sportsman with Sun Mangal but their captainship or leadership would make their own sports interests a back seat and so on.

A Side Note: Guru also with these planets and the Sun would certainly allow the planets to give their effects a lot more. Guru or Guru-drushti closer to these planets in degrees than the Sun will certainly cause it for sure.

[B] L10 in 12^th house : Dhirubhai Ambani

I just wrote the Lord 10 in Dharma Trikon and Kaam Trikon. A quick note about L10 in 12^th house: The 12^th house is about placed 9/12 hrs away from your native, it is the house of immigration, the house of expense, investments and house of sleep, left eye, young siblings of your father, FEET/Ankle, Getting rid of stuff from your body (sweat, water and stuff). So when the Lord of 10 (L10) is in 12^th house there is KARMIC connection of your workplace or business with the EXPORT or places abroad or 9-12 hours away. The 12^th house strong shows longer middle phalanx of thumb (planning) than compared to upper phalanx (willpower/execution) Also finger of the arms curve upwards showing intellectual profile. 12^th house is of ACPs & Commissioners and not Inspectors (6^th Mangal) or Hawaldar (3^rd house Mangal)

The planets in the 12^th house can make you do a lot of expense or INVESTMENT before you find a BIG TIDE that takes you FAR with success. The 12^th house tests, makes you spend time, efforts and money before you get the tremendous success. The 12^th house – I have a separate article on this 12^th house – House of planning.

One needs to SWIM against the tides when the L10 is in the 12^th house. Sanskrit Granth(s) & preliminary astrology books are VERY ONE SIDED when describing L10 in 12 – do NOT get discouraged. J RATHER the L10 in 12^th house is STRONG as the planet is in PARAKRAM sthan i.e. 3^rd from its own rashi.

Dhirubhai: Dhanu lagna, Budh L10 in 12^th house in Vrishchik rashi. Vrishchik is about chemistry/chemicals etc. This Budh is with Shukra and in navamansh with Guru. We need not talk about his exports! J Also, he had to spend time abroad to learn the business and catch the tide after this exposure i.e. investments of time & energy and money in this business before he thought of his own stuff. L10 with SHUKRA – So garments is not a surprise? (A Side-Note: His SONS are supposed to be rebirths from his maternal side family as his L5 – panchamesh is with Ketu in 9^th house.)

RANDOM THOUGHTS 4: How to analyse a Horoscope and Lord 10th house (Career)

[A] Here is some quick text on how difficult it is to analyze a single thing in astrology:

1. A planets denotes a lot of things that includes karakatva of the planet, the house it owns, the nakshatra and the sign is occupies, the house it occupies, the position of the owner of sign this planet occupies and again that planet’s rashi-swami position – i.e. 3 generations of the planets need analysis.

2. A Planet denotes a few things; a house (bhaav) also denotes lots of things. So to analyze something you need to check the signs and nakshatra in the house, the planets in a specific house in question, the nakshatra of the planets in that house. The aspects of various planets on that house and those planets in that house. The RASHI-SWAMI (Bhavesh) of that house – the HOUSE it is placed, the nakshatra and the rashi it is placed in. The aspects of various planets on this rashi-swami (Bhavesh). The Karakatva of the thing you are trying to check. The karak planet’s house, nakshatra & sign, the aspects of various planets on this karak planet.

3. Now – SIMILAR or THE SAME things need to be analyzed for Chandra Kundali (assuming Chandra in the 1^st house) and do NOT forget the NAVAMANSH Kundali. J

4. Also do not forget the planets at the BHAVARAMBH (exact degrees as ascendant) and BHAvCHALIT Kundali’s exceptions i.e. the planets that are way off from the ascendant degree! J (Bhavchalit VERY imp for health and body-parts analysis – instead of internal reprod organs I could be external reprod organs issue in bhavchalit! J A planet moving from house 8 to house 7!! J

[B] Quick Information on 10^th house and the Dharma Trikon and Kaam Trikon angle

1. The 10, 2, 6 houses in the horoscope denotes what a person does for a living. The 10^th house is house of career, workplace, father etc. The planets and aspects in the drushti on the 10^th house shows the nature of the job and the conditions at workplace. However complex the analysis as can be seen from the above thoughts – here are some generic ATTITUDES or an OUTCOME for consumptions.

2. When the owner of the 10^th house is in DHARMA-TRIKON i.e. in house 1, 5, 9 houses. The person tends to occupy the positions of responsibilities i.e. with specific duties or job description. The Lord of 10 (L10) in 1^st house does show own business but the person also occupies the CEO or other POSITION of a regular duty! The 5^th house is not in synch with the 10^th house but still it shows the positions of duty for quick achievements (tactical success) in the workplace. It also shows education sector and teaching profession but you would certainly say that – it is one of the biggest duty or dharma to do to educate people.

3. The owner of the 10^th house in KAAM Trikon i.e. in say 3, 7, 11 houses shows that the person does not care for a position or designation of position of duty but likes to ENJOY the work he/she is doing. They tend to take career and work with more panache and want to contribute without having the boundaries of duties or TIED down with some duties. Bu duties, it means the things that you do on daily, weekly, monthly basis that you HAVE to do whether you want to them to or not. Duty is doing what NEEDS to be done and Kaam Trikon is about doing something you LOVE to do. As you can see, the folks who have L10 in 3^rd house are a FREE SPIRIT who like to make an impact by being an outlier. They would be more interested in their IMPACT on the OUTCOME than what is their badge, designation or position in the undertaking. The 7^th house shows next level of maturity and that builds collaborations at workplace & working with folks who they like to work with and not they HAVE to work with! J The 11^th house is about GAINS and indeed the 10^th house owner in 11^th does show great cash flow and pro environment at workplace but these folks again work on something they LOVE to do with their friends and seniors and not what they HAVE TO do on daily basis. I knew a very Senior Manager who did not have his mailbox sorted by date but by people and subject – so that he will NOT clear the emails of approvals and leaves etc or other things that he HAS to do day in and day out BUT he would do things randomly as to he LOVED to do! J It was a hedache for people as to they needed to go to him every now and then for any approvals or emails that need his views on topics he find boring! J

BOTH are IMP – too many folks with L10 in 3, 7, 11 would cause a CHAOS at workplace as they do not want to be saddened by financial matters, ROI, loss/profit analysis etc but care for results on their work in FREE spirit. You GOT to have folks with sense of DUTY who keep the machinery going by daily/weekly tasks – the things that HAS to be done! It is a matter of importance where YOU belong! J The L10 in 3, 7, 11 sometimes take much more risk than warranted and can get into trouble if given too much leeway. The Dharma Trikon could get stuck in operational issues so much that they do not get to work on something they LOVE to do so then usually what they LOVE to do is something other than their daily grind/work.

The L3, L7, L11 in 5, 9, 1 houses could also bring in interesting results but these folks then would hold posts in creative fields like cinema making (directors, people supporting a music director with settings etc) à Next time! J

1. Your own observations without Astrology

1. When you call Rahul Dravid a WALL you are indirectly attributing his Mars in Scorpio sign which is known to be a FIXED Sign. By FIXED means it has a methodical way of doing things and every-time you can count of them to behave in that fixed manner. Gavaskar has Mangal in Vrishabh rashi, again a Fixed sign. This shows that without knowing astrology you tend to acknowledge Scorpio Mars (Vrishchik Mangal) that Dravid has.

2. Everybody who knows and meets ShahRukh Khan says that he has got tremendous energy. They are just stating that he has 1^st house Mars (Mangal). Mangal is energy, blood, drive, strength, the 1^st house is called TANU-Sthan (body) and it directly impacts your outward expression & disposition and overall body structure/attitude.

3. When folks say Salman Khan has got some temper – they are indirectly saying that he has got Rahu in the 1^st house! J (Abrupt chin compared to forehead, unapproachable expressions and air of don’t mess with me are some of Rahu in 1^st house effects!) J

4. When they call Dhoni “captain cool” they are actually acknowledging the sukoon/calm of 1^st house Ketu! This Ketu makes a person cool for sure and his Moon with Guru is also great for temperament but with Shani also which shows a bit of pessimism & unnecessary humbleness from time to time.

5. Libra & Vrishabh are supposed to have the best smile and they always smile, especially Libra. This means that the most folks in the world who have a great smile have connection with LIBRA & Taurus sign. Every time you acknowledge someone for a smile it is more often than not saying that the person has Libra/Taurus influence.

6. Kapil Dev known to be a hasty, over aggressive batsman with Mars in Aries. How many times folks in 80s said -- yaar thoda aur rukata to match khatam kar deta tha! J

2. BUDH IN MEEN (Mercury in Pisces)

Budh is owner of basic reading, listening and expression ability; our primary connection/response system to the surroundings! A VERY badly placed Budh can result in hearing impaired condition. Budh also shows composition of brain and many neurology issues that can show brain/nerve disorder are related to badly placed Mercury in the horoscope. Budh also shows grasping power, analytical ability and ability to make wise arguments, articulation. (Pramod Mahajan Mithun lagna, Kanya rashi he was great in articulating & expressing his thoughts! Balasaheb has Kanya rashi and Budh in Makar – it shows clarity of thoughts and expression.)

So, I think we have established/understood the connection of Budh with basic comprehension, analytical ability, basic communication and overall expression etc. Mercury/Budh is karak or Governor of Nervous system/brain related stuff for a person.

Budh in Meen does not cause damage to this ability as such and health-wise it is quite ok for sure but it does have some effects on a person being slow-witted, slow to react, slow in mathematics early on and even dyslexic condition could be attributed to badly placed Meen-Budh in the horoscope.

Budh in Meen is further lesser of a health issue if it is with the Sun, as the ability of Budh giving separate effects is reduced quite a bit. This limits person’s ability to write business deals/trading but it also limits health issues or brain issue quite a bit as the Sun is the governor of health and does not do harm to ANY planet (including Shani) with it from health point of view. Budh with Surya or Mangal is more like an engineering/mathematical configuration than separate BUDH which shows commerce/trading ability. Of course, forgetting phone numbers and directions is their birth right! J They do not give importance to remember such things! J

Separate BUDH (away from the Sun) shows some definite past karma with Mama/Mousi family, ability of a person to do trading or commerce (Selling something for 7 which is bought for 5! 5 ka 7! J)

1. Budh in Meen makes person completely oblivious to this trading ability rather their gullible/naive nature completely takes away this ability unless the person has 5^th Shani (always doubting others) but still trading etc would not be their cup of tea.

2. Attention to details is something completely not known to Budh in Meen – the review process is something a big issue for them. They would NEVER be able to follow a check list like Budh in MAKAR and give detailed findings!

3. It will be very tough for a Meen Budh to review and tear apart something – it is not the genes! J

a. Yes Shani VERY close to BUDH and CLOSE Drushti on Budh will give this ability to criticize but again articulation will go for a toss.

4. Meen Budh usually takes more words / more verbiage than other Budh to express something! J

5. Their choice of words would not be correct and many times they will not remember the exact word, exact song, the exact phrase at THE moment. They will remember it just after the moment is passed! J

6. Meen Budh is good for being a Pustak Pandit without much practical/hands-on knowledge! It is good for education or sports sector much like the Budh in Dhanu!

7. However, innovation is something which is possible to Meen budh. Creativity, Lalit-Kala, short writing etc will be quite good in the subject of interest. The REVATI nakshatra which is owned by BUDH itself could show some ability on expression for sure BUT again without any monetary or SELF-Gains.

8. Selflessness is the biggest vice or virtue of Meen budh: Ye log pagalo jaise dusaro ke kaam karate firte hain without any gains to them! J

9. To reach some place on time is again a herculean task for Meen rashi folks. Their Time Management should be actually called as Time Mismanagement! J

10. Dream-Nature is again a vice or virtue of the Meen Budh.

These folks are GENTLEMEN – They would not have intention of taking someone for a ride. They would not be pranksters like Gemini or Kanya Budh. They would give away their knowledge, information for free with a very wide mind and vision. They are perfect EARTH Citizens like the Pisces Sun!

You can see honesty, a bholapan, innocence on their face and especially women can easily sense it for sure. They themselves have a good 6^th sense and good understanding of body language, reading minds etc.

All said and done, these folks are called neech Budh as they are slow witted, rather do not want to crack jokes on other folks, are compassionate, cannot sell something for Rs. 7 which they bought for Rs. 5 as they are NOT BORN for that. They are born for sharing something freely; show compassion and “Bhut-daya”, ‘Wishwabandhutva’ (Vasudhaiva Kutumbam) like Dhanu Sun and Budh. The 12^th sign or house in a horoscope shows great vision and sense of belonging to this world and not bound by man-made boundaries. These folks might not be able to articulate LOVE as well as Gemini and Virgo but they FEEL love like NO OTHER person. They might not be able to express thru words but their eyes which are downright beautiful will express their “beautiful/pure mind” effortlessly.

Students:

1. Budh in Meen – A person will read text for a long time but would not be able to reproduce a condensed form. Also, there could be difficulty in reproducing it for exams. They will always end up getting lesser marks/score than their actual knowledge due to lack of crisp/articulation skills.

2. An easy remedy for this is to WRITE while doing the studies and try to prepare notes while studying.

a. This makes a good imprint on the mind which is much easier to reproduce.

3. Similarly, listening to a song they might not remember it but watching it will go a long way as they have more of a graphic memory which stored the body language, lip movements “As is” in their memory! They will be able to talk about the complete song and the filming of the song but would not remember just by listening it. It I could be true for all folks but more so for Meen Budh.

1. I have coined a new YOGA – “JAMBUWANT Yoga!!” or also called as Anil Kapoor yoga J J When Sun or Mars or both are in MESH or MAKAR rashi – The person becomes Jambuwant or say Anil Kapoor! J i.e. It becomes a very hairy affair! J J Applies in some extent to Makar lagna and Chandra also specially in Shravan or Dhanishtha nakshatra 2 charan and less so in Uttara Bhadrapada 1 charan. But when you see a tremendously hairy person – almost a certainty that Sun or Mars are either in Aries or Capricon (Mesh or Makar). Is it coincidence that the RAM and GOAT are also hairy!?! J J J

a. At the same time planets in Budh Air sign Gemini are supposed to give lesser hairs. Knaya is medium but again lesser side

b. Agnirashi (Leo, Sagi) planets are medium in this regard but Agnirashi result in broader forehead which becomes broader due to hair loss! J J This is seen much more for Magha, Mool nakshatras! J

c. Vrishabh and Makar are the most except Krittika and Uttara-bhadrapada each 1 charan only.

2. TRAVEL in a Horoscope: In the older times, 3^rd house used to show 6 hrs away destinations i.e. Satara or Nashik person coming to Say Pune. The 9^th house used to show 9-12 hrs away i.e. Maharashtra person going to Delhi or say MP etc. The 12^th house used to show using boat/Sea journey and going to other countries (Mahatma Sun in the 12^th house, Bhartratna Dr. Ambedkar 12^th house Guru Shukra and so on). Now, the world has come closer and things have dramatically changed but I am able to use 6/8 hrs rule or 9/12 hours rule as it is. The 12^th house is still being used as house of LONG term abroad stay or even immigration. The 3^rd house is now become Singapore, London house and 9^th house a few years in USA and even a Green card if the 9^th house planets also own 3, 12 houses! J The 12^th house is still immigration or very long term stay abroad with GC/Citizenship etc. (I am a rare occasion of staying 8 yrs in states with NOTHING in 3, 6, 12 houses! J) Well, I was under Shukra mahadasha until 2006 and Shukra does own 12^th house in the horoscope but that is a lame excuse for an astrologer. So let us face it, my abroad stay cannot be explained much by using astrology/dasha/planetary motions! J J Maybe, KP folks can do a better job with SUB LORDS and SUB SUB Lords?! J

3. It is often asked about TWINS – Why their lives are so different despite not much different b-time

a. Well, they do have same parents; same grandparents and also go to same school have same servants and teachers, Prime ministers etc. J Only later on in life they become different.

b. This could be explained very well with Navamansh Chart (D9) which changes aprox every 10 minutes or Dashamansh (D10) or Dwadashansh (D12) charts. But sometimes even Navamansh and D10 is also the same! J

c. Spiritually easier to answer is that – They are two DIFFERENT SOULS with different karmic history BUT with lots of similarities and karmic connections to same parents/social-economic conditions etc.

d. Krishnamurthy Method (KP) answers this more finely as Sub-Lords change every other minute or so as a Nakshatra is divided in 9 different size parts (as per their spread in Winshottari mahadasha). It is called as Sub-Lord. Further each Sub can be broken in to 9 parts i.e. 81 parts of same nakshatra which 13.33 degrees (13 degrees 20 minutes). Each house has a Sub lord or Sub Sub-lord which would help explain differences in twins.

e. I did come across TWINS Horoscope when I used to post in MAAYBOLI.com Astro Forum. I saw Dhanu Lagna with Mars in 5th (Aries) in one Navamansh and other navamansh (elder) was Vrishchik lagna with Mars in 6th house (Aries) – I asked if the Dhanu one was in Engg and the Vrishchik navamansh was in medical sector. It was indeed true!!! I was also spellbound and awestruck with this Astro-LOGY!! They had already taken the admissions etc and wanted to check on this forum if that was the correct decision! J

f. Example: Ashwini Nakshatra owned by Ketu: the 1^st SubLord would be of Ketu. Ketu maha is 7 years in 120 years of Winshottari – So KETU is 1^st sub-lord and gets 13.33*(7/120) part of Ashwini nakshatra. The next mahadasha is of Shukra. Shukra is 20 yrs in 120 so 13.33(20/120) i.e. 13.33/6 part is given to Shukra in Ashwini nakshatra i.e. Shukra is 2^nd sub-lord in Ashwini with a bigger size.

g. In Navamansh a SIGN is divided in 9 EQUAL parts. Here, a Nakshatra is divided in 9 UN-EUQAL parts. Well, Ketu and Mangal parts are of same size as 7 years each in Winshottari mahadasha.

4. MITHUN Mangal is a VERY difficult graha-yog for self and also for others! J

a. Mangal is drive, energy, aggression. In Aries, it gets a very good expression like Kapil Dev and countless sports people (Balasaheb Mesh Mangal). In Makar it is uchcha and again shows great results (Sampras, Sachin) and in Singh, Dhanu and Meen also it is quite happy/strengthened overall.

b. This mangal always wants to make some extreme STATEMENT with their speech or action!

c. In MITHUN (Shatru Rashi for Mangal) it becomes aggression in thoughts. Misplaced aggression which is in debates, arguments (Witand-waad Is a great Sanskrit word for that).

d. These folks are VERY hard to debate with and can change the tracks of their arguments like a railway!! J

e. These folks often seem to show OVER aggression in their words and there is a certain AGITATION in their expression.

f. These people put lot of energy in their speech and common people found it unwarranted and untimely. They often have issues in articulation and tend to use relatively more extreme words.

g. It is VERY easy for these folks to get agitated in a split second. Dennis Lillee is a very good example.

h. Mithun Mangal is can give very good results when Budh is in uchcha rashi of say Kanya or with Mangal in Mithun itself – mathematical ability, trading ability, expression, good debates and multiple subjects of interest.

i. However if BUDH is in an intense Nakshatra like Moola, Magha, Ashlesha, Jyeshtha, Krittika or in Mesh rashi overall – it can yield very extreme results. When Budh is in intense nakshatra – their extreme thoughts can become their actions. Budh also in Kendra yog or Pratiyog of Mars can give extreme actions.

j. This Mangal in bad graha-yog is also known to have ARMS related accidents, broken bones, arms from time to time (especially when in bad yoga with Shani or Rahu)

k. Nathuram Godse Mithun Mangal and Budh in Krittika. – He ended up blaming EVERYTHING on a 79 year old man!! VERY weird thinking pattern.)

l. Blood circulation in the body is not the best. These folks also tend to have bone related issues due to over aggression (Rheumatoid) and agitation.

m. This Mangal is all the more imp when Moon Ascendant or more planets are in Mangal’s Mesh or Budh’s sign (Mithun, Kanya)

n. Overall – Mangal in Mithun is a big misfit for Mangal’s natural attributes and overall attitude. It is an unheathy sign for Mangal whichever way you look at it.

o. Some great players who use ARMS predominantly have Mangal in Mithun which is well aspected by milder planets and more often by Guru which is able to DIRECT this Mangal’s anger/agitation/mathematics/all rounder nature very well.

p. GURU drushti will be able to reduce the intensity of this Mangal VERY much and also well placed BUDH would rather ensure a GREAT success to these folks thru ARMS – Prakash Padukone and Roger Federrer have Mithun Mangal. Padukone is Mesh lagna and I bet Roger is also Mesh or Tula lagna (he is Tula rashi anyways).

q. For MESH lagna this Mangal is not as bad as it is for Vrishchik lagna. For Mesh Lagna 3^rd house Mangal has its own positive attributes apart from being in Mithun! RANDOM THOUGHTS: ASTROLOGY

1. There is “some similarity” between the 2^nd house planets and the Vrishabh rashi planets. Being self assured, being calm from within and not just surface. The 2^nd house planets also make a person eat/try different types of cuisines and same is true with Vrishabh rashi planets. The want & love of wealth and family is also there in the 2^nd house planets and Vrishabh rashi.

a. Some addendum to this thought is that – this pattern will be observed ‘much more’ when the 2nd house planets are in earth element signs (Kanya, Makar and of course Vrishabh).

b. It will take some time for you in astrology before to notice this “behavioral pattern” in people around. You will need to do a lot of observations for sure.

c. Similar thought can be extended to the 3rd house and Mithun rashi planets. My interest in debate, short writing (“Lalit” Lekhan), talking very fast & changing topics every now and then (J) can be largely attributed to Mithun Mangal and Shani. Of course, the desire to “share” comes from Meen Surya and not from Vrishchik moon or ascendant! J

2. On similar lines, I have mentioned this before – The planets in 1^st house for Mesh lagna are very important; Planets in 2^nd house are very imp for Vrishabh lagna/rashi and 3^rd house for Gemini & so on. WHY à

a. Gemini lagna has some properties and similar properties are in the 3^rd house planets (expression, short writing, small travels, debates etc).

b. The Gemini lagna highlights these planets MORE than other planets in the horoscope on a behavioral level. As you can imagine, behavior becomes future! J

c. Makar lagna is a busy person, industrious, continuous improvement, workaholic nature, greed hence the planets in the 10^th house (Makar is 10^th sign) for Makar lagna have a lot more effect on them than say planets in 3^rd house as Makar do not like to express, talk, debate much anyways!?

3. Kanya lagna & Kanya Surya rashi folks tend to be of above average height. Kanya moon would be masked a bit by Vrishchik lagna or other average height lagnas. You need to compare it to family folks. The same is true for Kumbh lagna and Surya folks. So when you have someone with Sun and Moon in Kumbh -- Kanya or Ascendant, Sun Moon in Kanya – Kumbh – you will certainly see them much taller than folks in the family.
