1.       Why Parle-G works so much in India? Why Britania Bourbon sells tons more than ITC Sunfeast biscuits?
2.       Why Swift or any inferior Maruti Suzuki works a lot more than Fiat’s’ best vehicle at the same price? (Linnea)
3.       Why Toyota NEVER has a flop vehicle? Why Qualis such an age-old vehicle still commands great resale price?
4.       Why Subhas Ghai had such a long successful career for 2 decades where he could stop shooting of a movie with Bachchan (Deva) such was his clout & understanding?
5.       Before starting work on new Luxury division (LEXUS) in USA Why Toyota sent a group of people to USA to stay in the USA and use Auti BMW and Benz for a month, play golf, go to grocery shopping, & so on? Why they launched a separate brand itself? Why they launched a V8 engine and Why ACURA (the Honda division) despite having head start of 6/7 years ahead of Lexus hasn’t had the level of success Toyota has with Lexus?
6.       Why brand-new Nano failed but Renault Qwid is a wild success?
7.       Honda CBZ & Suzuki Fiero failed in India (150cc) but Bajaj Pulsar was a stunning continued success for 17 years now!
8.       Why despite Toyota’s such a great reputation – Toyota Etios and Liva are such a BAD failure? Why their Fortuner & Innova are such a wild success.
9.       Steve Jobbs was struggling until last mid-decade!

Simple answer is that their Shani is strong! :) This article is to elaborate this as to why we think their Shani sis strong? So that we can also imbibe these qualities and be always successful regardless of planetary formations?

Answer to these questions point you to Shani or simply “acute understanding of most of the customers”. When you think, talk, walk, dress, party or simply “live like your customer”. Conscious and Subconscious awareness of your customers is THE Key for success. You are creating products for customers or services for consumption by “someone”. That someone needs to be understood by you and everyone working for or with you. The end customer using these products or services – studies on these people. So the lesson here from the highest level of examples need to be taken at lower level to our personal life and horoscope. You have got to understand what your immediate customer (your boss) wants from you and what you customer’s folks for you. This is essential but even these people will be FORCED to respect you or fearfully respect you if you start understanding their end-customer. For example someone working in IT  (Capgemini, Infy, Cogni etc) studies their end customers (it could be internal business people or it could be actual USA citizens using the products). How they use the application, mobile app or the website and what their average day looks like – what they do morning 6 to 9 and 9 to 12 and so on. Even this attempt would make one powerful enough to be respected by the fellow employees but the topmost bosses in your company and even the customer side IT people who are always worried about the business people. This ONE act will make you find REMEDY for your own SHANI! :)

So this article mostly deals with professional life and career. SHANI for career is about customers and end customer and all sorts of customers you have. Thinking like them, acting like them, understanding them, living like them will give you insights which would make your offering so well that it will become part of their life and not just a product they use!

So look at above examples – let us try to answer them to the best of our understanding:
1.       Why Parle-G works so much in India? Why Britania Bourbon sells tons more than ITC Sunfeast biscuits?
a.       Indian people always eat biscuit with tea / coffee – iT MUST soak up the team fast enough but not so fast that they lose it to the bottom of the sea, oops the tea-cup! :) :) This is the SINGLEMOST reason I HATED ITC biscuits and always got Britannia and also ParleG.
2.       Why Swift or any inferior Maruti Suzuki works a lot more than Fiat’s’ best vehicle at the same price? (Linnea)
a.       “Kitana Deti hain” – Compromise Safety with lesser weight of the car for “average” (fuel economy)
b.       Compromise Tire size and breaking and grips for fuel economy
c.        Give convenience like Bluetooth touchscreen to the lowest level model – Rs 7000 phone gives it!!!
3.       Why Toyota NEVER has a flop vehicle? Why Qualis such an age-old vehicle still commands great resale price?
a.       Decent space, power, economy and AMAZING reliability and ground clearance! :)
4.       Why Subhas Ghai had such a long successful career for 2 decades where he could stop shooting of a movie with Bachchan (Deva) such was his clout & understanding?
a.       He just understood the single screen movie-goers very well. He knew their sensibilities and was exactly cater to them with a poor hero (HERO Jackie Shroff) and putting news in the media which would appeal to this customer and NOT the elites.
b.       He started struggling when the customers changed to more sophisticated ones – thanks to then PM Narasimha Rao policies – people had new money and new life style..!
c.        He struggled in the multiplex ERA has his ego or self-esteem (which keeps increasing & ego gets converted to Self-esteem without our knowledge) didn’t allow him to STUDY these NEW consumers – their sensibilities were completely different and at much higher levels. (Aditya Chopra, Johar etc).
5.       Before starting work on new Luxury division (LEXUS) in USA Why Toyota sent a group of people to USA to stay in the USA and use Audi BMW and Benz for a month, play golf, go to grocery shopping, & so on? Why they launched a separate brand itself? a.       This study told then what these 3 offered and what they didn’t (service, reliability, cheaper services)
b.       V8 is a must else no credibility (Acura Legend respected but not at Benz BMW levels)
c.        RWD is a must else no credibility (Acura Legend respected but not at Benz BMW levels)
6.       Why brand-new Nano failed but Renault Qwid is a wild success?
a.       Nano was designed NOT FOR ANY CONSUMER!!! It was Active replacement – WOMEN were major target – Tata didn’t know this simple basic fact --- did not have auto did not have power steering – imagine women struggling with manual steering with that crude manual transmission – Indian women are already conscious about driving and you wanted to make them feel more bad about themselves...!!??
7.       Honda CBZ & Suzuki Fiero failed in India (150cc) but Bajaj Pulsar was a stunning continued success for 17 years now! –
a.       Average, Average Average
b.       Good tires, advanced tech, alloys and FASTER face of changes...!
c.        Higher Fuel economy with higher power and FASTER R&D changes which wasn’t just Honda way!
8.       Why despite Toyota’s such a great reputation – Toyota Etios and Liva are such a BAD failure?
a.       Who needed 4 Cylinder engine that gives lesser power of 3 cylinder and lesser economy of 4 cyl?
b.       Who needed a car with only ONE wiper!! 1 Horn and NO rubber bidding on doors
c.        Who asked for a design which looked lie 1980s Esteem when new fashioned SWIFT was launched 5 years before Etios!!
d.       Everything Toyota did with this car was EXACTLY what NOT the Indians wanted!!

As you can see these all point to SHANI!!! Understanding of consumers and their life! The FAT salaries of auto industry or advanced knowledge of engine tech or JAVA or Micro Services is of ZERO use if you ignore your customer needs!! So the REMEDY for each and every example above is the remedy for Shani. Shani needs ego-less, humble approach to agree first that you are there due to end customers who spend money and NOT only due to your knowledge. Your knowledge is a necessary stuff (Chandra Surya Budh Shukra Mangal Mangal etc etc) but it is only useful when SHANI is taken care of – else it is the BEST of the BEST products that nobody asked for…!!

This was at higher level the understanding of Shani. At PERSONAL LEVEL you can see below how Shani tries to get rid of most of your obligations by the age of 30:

At an individual level, your horoscope shows your obligations to some areas of your life – family, mom, kids, father, siblings, relatives maternal paternal etc etc. So you need to understand what these people want and that is the START of the Shani remedy! Working on what they want - -the actual Karma is the next step of the Remedy. And yes an astrologer can certainly give you analysis of where your obligations are and what karma you can do about it. Earlier you start in life, earlier you conquer the Shani mandate of your horoscope. Asking remedies to AVOID paying obligations is deferring the payment of your loan. You won’t get a CM to do a loan-waiver for you! :)

AS PERSONAL LEVELS:
SHANI: Saturn, Shanai, Shanai – slowly slowly, Sincere, Serious, Hard-Work, Perseverance, covert ambitions, Auditor, Police, Relentless delivery of good/bad karma, Channel for karma delivery just like ISO or CMMI Auditors or Financial Auditors, Poor People, Masses, Workers, Large group of Consumers, Cold Calculations, Devoid of emotions, numbers driven approach, practical experience

Shani In a Natal horoscope: Deficiency of Karma from the past birth, Things in error or omissions, your obligations you were not able to or purposely did not fulfil in the past birth, YOUR OWN subconscious agreement with the universe what you owe to this world.

By the age of 29.5/30 Shani has traveled all houses of your horoscope from your birth and it has gone past the position it is in at the time of birth. (Even by the age of 15 it has put drushti on each planet at least ONCE or more.) During this travel, the moving (transit) Shani aspects (puts drushti) on each and every planet including natal chart Shani – 4 times! Every time, it gives you an opportunity to pay back your past life and this life karma to the person, studying, to the entity, organization, relative, school, college, friends, colleagues, health, wealth and so on. If the chart is intense it FORCES the circumstances beyond control. These Shani movements by the age of 30 are a great opportunity to pay back most of your karma by good deeds sufferings or a combination of both. BUT we do have tendency find short-cuts and loopholes to avoid paying back the karma just the way we have tendency to jump stop-lights, signals, free parking and so on. So many times these opportunities are lost and hence the reminders and difficulties keep coming to you. Each KARMA-SANKET is important. When transit Shani has 3rd Drushti on any planet, it gives some karma-sanket and some advance NOTICE of the things that are going to happen after 5 years when transit SHANI will reach that house itself. If we TAKE this as an opportunity and pay ATTENTION to Karma-Sanket – a preventive maintenance avoids major parts replacement or a major breakdown! Think of Rs 10 saved 5 years back becoming say 17 in 5 years due to savings BUT you saved that 10 Rs by avoiding some karma and after 5 years you spend 17Rs for the same things which would have worked out in 10Rs earlier! :) :) and with lot less pain..!!! This is quite simple isn’t it?? At times, when Shani is on some house and planet – the force of pay back is so strong that the person cannot simply pay back physically the stuff. So when Shani moves ahead and after 7.5 years again it puts the 10th drushti on the same house and planet and tries to get it paid back – if yet again avoided - -After 5 years Shani’s 7th drushti is lot more troublesome.

So it is good to ask “remedy” to an astrologer and trying to find a loophole to avoid paying karma back but remember, the payments of karmic debt would keep coming back with you in much uglier state if avoided to pay! These remedies should be well directed, well focused and with GOOD INTENTIONS and NOT to run away from your own karma! Usually remedies should be seen as enhancers and also increasing ability to pay back karma instead of skipping it!

(Regardless of lagna (asc-sign)-rashi, Chandra(moon)-rashi, SHANI is for all an auditor who delivers the exact proportion of good or bad karma done. It reminds us of our dues and urges or at times forces them to pay back to appropriate party. The house/position of SHANI in a natal chart shows an obligation and deficiency in that chart for the things shown by that house. Also Shani has 3rd, 7th and 10th FULL drushti in addition to the house it is in. These drushtis DO work and they work a lot more when there is some planet in that house.)
