Kumbh Lagna, 1st House
Ketu, 4th Shani Wakri Vrishabh, 6th House Guru Vargottam Guru, 7th Rahu, 8th
Shukra, Mangal, Budh, Surya Neptune, 9th Chandra. The lagan-degree in the
attached pic is assumed one. Birthplace Pune is also just for illustration. L8
in 8th, 6th Guru Vargottam Uchcha, 4th Shani restless and working till the end
like Aurangzeb! :)
P.S. Every time Shani
is in Kanya or Meen the things are tough for him (1981 1982) and (Sept2009 to
August2012) and also end of 1995 and 1996 1997 till April 1998. And also DHANU
Shani too is tough (Boforse) and now Nov2017 to Dec2019 - mostly health but
also bad mouth and bad publicity.
BACHCHAN…!!! Others
call him Amitabh Bachchan or idiots call him AmitJi and arrogant ones from the
industry call him Mr Bachchan. He is THE BACHCHAN!!! Just Bachchan!!! Rather
many other people also became Bachchan at the peak of their career for some
time. BACHCHAN was only one and THE ONE. As they say Jordan was better than
Shaq and other 2 3 greats combined. Pele Maradona and Tendulkar have no
parallel - -Bachchan is what Lata Mangeshkar is to music and vice versa.
Bachchan is in the
conscious and subconscious of my and previous 1, 2 and next 2 generations. Our
minds and hence date I say destines are intertwined with his success and
failures in ways we can’t even decipher! His successes have changed the mood
the nation and his failures also became the national issues. His white beard
had become a huge rage in the 90s. It was a carnage in media when he turned 50
in 1992! His failures of early mid 90s made ME go into depression in some
ways!!! Main Azaad Hun helped a lot but it failed in single theatre
environment!! GangaJamunaSaraswati, Tufaan Jaadugar were SHEE (Toilet). His
success again from the late 90s with KBC made fans me go “finally,
husshhhhhsshshshsh – his success was more important to us or equally imp to use
than his or him family!!
5th / 6th Standard we the family of 4 on our MINI-Bullet – me sitting on the
tank went for Mr Natwarlal. It was “can’t talk” GOOD…!!!! His comedy with the
huge guy --- his song “Mera Paasi aawo” – his voice was NEVER this BEAUTIFUL.
It was baritone in Khuda Gawah and Agneepath BUT his voice was NEVER this
BEAUTIFUL as it was in NATWARLAL…!! “Are Yeh Jeena bhi kya Jeena hain Lallu,
AAaay” garnered HUGE applause. The adulation, the glory and THE WAY people
looked at him when he came on the screen -- they were trying to put each and
every action and dialogue of his in their memory FOREVER!! Me and my sister
were mesmerized to say the least!! I came home and tried to emulate the last
scene where he is trying to avoid the land mines! :) :) with good success! :) PARDESIYA ----- IT WAS MOMENT OR SONG OF THE
MILLENIUM for me…!!! I was SO surprised to know that they are not pair in real
life! :D :D Was difficult to think otherwise!
SHOLAY watched in Shrirampur – could not digest his death at the end – felt
SICK to the stomach. Mu sister was crying for some time till we reached home!
We were complaining for several weeks later why they had to kill him at the
end! :( Sholay is a separate story – much celebrated dialogues but I loved the
way he said to Viru when he continued to look at Basanti “Chal na”…! Also his
scene with MOUSI is typical Javedh Akhtar scene made AMAR by Bachchan. – “Kya
Karu Mousi Mera to Dil hi kuchh aisa hain!”
I saw Mukaddar ka Sikandar in sometime 7 8th standard on a Video and
immediately in the theatre after that ) ( I had to!) – used to take money from
Mom and later show her the tickets to ensue I spent it right! :) :) Use to go alone! :) It was spellbound experience. Dilip Saab
might have done the tragedy – but doing tragedy with Angry Young man movie was
something – na Maut ati hain na memsaab ati hain!!!! And then to Vinod Khanna
“Amaa Mila lo miyaa Sikandar ne bohot kam logo se haath milaya hina” and then
that “ISAKE AAGE KI AB DASATA MUZASE SOON” ------ The theatre was spellbound.
Theatre workers entered the theretae for the song and left for their work as it
got over (same happened with we saw Mrutyudata – Main dar di rab rab karadi
song). Amjad was of course a match and the match was GEAT – Came home enriched
and was at peace later for several years being denied something. Sikndar
charater stayed with me for a long time. Also it was needed for someone to show
how to live large despite denials in life…!! It was “AEHESAAN” in a way by the
writer and Prakash Mehra and Bachchan to teach kids like me “WHAT A MAN IS!”
Bachhan was never SALLU or Sharuh or cute Aamir or sneaky Akshay – He was
always THE MAN – like Kapil Dev was never a kid..!!! The scene where he touches
the glass-door which he broke in the dream is etched in my memory!
9th Standard me and my
friends (Vaibhav Shirke) went to DON in Damodar theatre I suppose. It was an
“experience” Each dialogue was responded with sitty and clasps. Each action was
responded with “Kya style maarata hain re”. Each pause was responded with “Kya
dekhata hai re”. KHAIKE Paan Banarawas wala – Some chairs were broken as people
started dancing...!!! PRAN also attracted as many claps as Bachchan! I came
home ecstatic with Bachchan in my head. My personality changed with every
Bachchan movie I watched.
Saw Deewar in
Chalisgaon - -Bhatwal theatre I suppose. Suburban areas have massive movie
following and with No TV it was amazing response as you could see from “Gangs
of Wasseyppur depicted it”. “Daawar Saab main AAJBHI Fainke huwe paise nahi
uthata” was simply outstanding...!!
Sharabi was caught in
video tape – it had a HUGE poster in Nashik with a glass in his hand – they
used to be local artist painted posters. There was crowd to just check the
poster itself. Sharabi is again favorite or some of the most famous and imp
people I met in my life. There is
something about Sharabi – it grows upon you just like probably a good drink! :)
Mucchee ho to Naththulal Jaisi Ho!!!
Trishul his entry with
bombs – people stood up in the theatre and clapped for 2 minutes...!! Trishul
was a feast with Bachchan and Sajvee sharing the space!! Herapheri with Vinod
Khanna was MASAALA MOVIE highly entertaining. Khanna was the best costar he had
- -equal screen presence and highly secured. KALA PATTHAR showed Bachchan
underplay against Shatru loudmouth display. Amazing intensity.
SHAKTI again like Sholay and Agneepath is a separate topic!
BEMISAAL is my personal favorite and EK ROZ main Tadapakar - -huge fan of this
song and BACHCHAN Screen presence – I searched for the shirt with that color
for weeks and friends used to ask me in college – “Sahi hain Kaha se leke
ayaya: I was like “Ab kya baatayee mousi”….!! BEMISAL is his top 5 best movie
for sure.
Silsila hated the
movie but his SheroShayari was something – Kabhi Kabhie his Shayar and father
was superb..! Doing Kabhi Kabhie at the height of superstardom is something.
Much before that we had seen YARANA (I was 5/6 guess) with “Kulkarnis” of
Nashik with “Baby Atya” Saasar family – 15 folks in one line! I still remember
Amjad khan coming on scene and THE GREAT pleasant shock that he wasn’t going to
the villain. It was an extra ordinary entertainment with Bachchan LIFT scenes
and his initial ROTI Banawo “Jaawo Laawo Piaya nadiyaa se son machhari”..!!!
The 90s were tough – Main Azaad hun helpd – the real jolt was Agneepath!!! It
was again mesmerizing...! One of my hostel mate Deepak Thorat watched it 3
times in a day! We saw him outside the theatre at 9pm as he was exiting and we
pulled him again – he was quite OK to watch it the 3rd time – he had already
watched twice that day!”. This was published with heavy voice and then normal
and again heavy voice after it got National award - -I loved it the first time
with heavy voice!! It made money in the 2nd run in 1994 1995 and not in 1991
when it first released. Agneepath like Sholay is a separate topic!!!
Just when I though Bachchan had nothing more to offer – WHAT else is he going
to do now? How will he ever impress me more than he has already – and Bachchan
gave 440 Volt shock with BLACK and SARKAR (Sarkat2)…!!! Bunty Babli and Khaaki
of course good but PAA and PIKU and then PINK … It was like standing ovation
and his genius was & is now beyond my comprehension! Like Dilip K he could
have retired in the late 80s and early 90s and be still the HUGE large than
life person he is now – but the late 90s and last decade just showed the man is
beyond our understanding! Junoon is one thing – this is a world beyond junoon…
Super Actor and Super Start and Mega start and millennium star and what not!!
wow. Milind, you are quite a fan of his. was just telling some one that the obsession of INdia with two sixty year olds is amazing. Rekha and Amitabh. But your writing explains why.
