Thought of selecting the ROYAL nakshatra to begin this series. The 10^th Nakshatra which restarts the Rashi-Swami of KETU which is also for the 1^st Nakshatra of Ashwini. In a way starting the Vinshottari mahadasha cycle of 120 yeas again. The element is FIRE and action prone and not emotional (water signs) nor overly intellectual like air signs’ brainstorming etc.

(1)    It is royal nakshatra in a sense that this when significant planets are in this nakshatra (lagna-Surya-Chandra or even Mangal) shows connection with a big family like SARDAR / Warriors and folks who served the King. Worst case, it at least shows Zamindari and such family history.

(2)    SINGH rules HEART and beats and Palpitation. First 3’20” degrees of Magha also rule head/brain/nervous system.

(3)    It is connected PREDOMINANLTY to the maternal grandfather or the maternal family. This is PARADOX for most of the royal families that maternal nakshatra is carrying the royal DNA. This goes against the whole Church/Abrahamic philosophy or preaching! It’s the maternal DNA that carries forward the ROYAL blood!!

(4)    As you can see there is strength to this nakshatra and there is INTENSITY too. “Don’t mess with me” attitude. A serious & aggressive lion who doesn’t like to mess around with others and doesn’t like to be messed around!

(5)    Obviously, this is a natural fit for SURYA / SUN & MANGAL / MARS but not so much to Moon / Chandra and Shukra / Venus. Sun and Mars show strength in this nakshatra with big ego and pride and self-esteem (Sachin Pilgaonkar has been the at receiving end now a days due to this pride etc). They get natural place to show their power & might!

(6)    MAGHA is HIGH on DUTY!! High responsibility and hgher place with authority. Obviously, planets in these signs are NOT necessarily Karmic reward from the past birth but a duty or desire or even an obligation to provide governance and structure to “praja/society/people/sphere of influence). That means, Mars in Magha would be more of a coach and assistant to coaches than individual achievers running around themselves. They will GOVERN the sports and gym and provide Admin skills with repeatability. A lion goes out regularly for SHUKAAR (a kill) and not for some “innovation” labeled sweet talk! Lion does the things that must be done!

(7)    Taking favors is not their thing! It hurts their heart! Guess Heart and hurt words came from same origin?! :) Giving favors to others at their own expense for pride/esteem is their thing!

(8)    Praise them and they will be docile and amicable and would move mountains for you. Hurt them or disrespect them & they will kill you 50% by their roar itself! :) It is their weak point – praise! They might know it is false praise but the fact someone praises them CREATES a aura of royalty and makes others also obey and follow their command. It is a necessary part for survival of the regime and the kingdom or the sphere of influence!

(9)    They are originals – and never copy anyone! Dilip Kumar Singh Moon sign (not Magha) and Rishi Kapoor (Singh Surya Rashi – 4^th Sept) would not be seen copying anyone despite having influential father like Raj Kapoor or uncles Shashi and Shammi!)

(10)  This Nakshatra is DRY – Why – Check above – all the description is about duty, actions, fire and originality and inspirational moves. It is not the friendliest place for Moon or Venus!

(11)  MAGHA takes emotions out of Chandra to a LARGE extent – 90%! It takes softness and harmony or typical docile VENUS behavior out of Venus!

(12)  Of course – MOON and VENUS are also strong in this nakshatra as in they are great at Governance and structure and originality. They are protective, caring and overly dutiful towards their own kids but their own kids would not call them emotional for any matter! It is a strict regime with governance and structure! MAGHA wants MOON to GOVERN like Rani Lakshmibai and not be emotional about surroundings! My friends’ mom was MAGHA nakshatra Chandra and one can easily see the pride and extrovert and Swabhimani nature! It ensures success and higher positions for the kids as they raised with strict values and principles etc but they do feel lack of emotions (not the warmth or care which they get in abundance!).

(13)  VENUS / SHUKRA in this MAGHA is a separate detailed topic – Great for artistic expression and related director or governance and so on. However, it is not about managing personal relationships with emotions or such. It is seen as duty. RATHER, 1^st 3 degrees Shukra and Chandra in Magha when connected to the 7^th house in anyways – show marrying into a royal family and taking higher responsibility and almost like an obligation and taking over the family almost like even adopting the kingdom and even the older and kids and also grandparents!! It shows an obligation the soul wanted or the destiny entrusted.

(14)  As it s DRY nakshatra or destiny of this nakshatra makes them behave with such approach – Chandra and Shukra in this nakshatra does show some hormonal lesser approach towards physical intimacy or emotional intimacy. It is more so in first 3 degrees and not as much in the rest of the nakshatra but it DOES show dutiful behavior and not running away from these things too! So do not take this as a SCARE for any match-making --- else you will defeat the purpose of this article itself! :(

(15)  Shukra Chandra first 3 degrees in the 7^th house could show early demise of spouse due to wars and such in earlier times and need to take over the kingdoms! Jeejamaata, TaaraRaani and Rani Lakshmibai could very well have planets in Magha and Moola nakshatra to give such a strength to the kingdom!

(16)  The first 3 degrees of this nakshatra do show some intense kaarmic burden or events from the past birth! This is covered in detailed in a separate article. HEART & BRAIN related history is seen in the family in the elders and you could be rebirth of one of such souls who have major heart or soul issues in the past birth!

(17)  SHANI first degrees certainly show this to maternal grandparents and elders. RAHU in this nakshatra is TRICKY – it is either father’s maternal family or mother’s paternal family.

(18)  1978 to 1980 born folks have very intense formations with Rahu Shani and Mangal and Guru in Magha nakshatra or Singh rashi. You can huge history of heart in these families and intense events in these families in 1994 1995 and also 2007 to 2009. Even folks born from 2007 to 2009 would have some related connection in the family.

(19)  In the first house it shows YOUR connection with royal or such family. IN the 5^th it would show your but more so your kids’ connection with royal families.

(20)  One of my friends had SURYA MANGAL in Singh Rashi in 5^th house – The father retired high court judge! Another one’s mom having Chandra in Magha - -maternal family in Govt services Collector etc. Recently, I saw a chart of a lady with 7^th house Chandra 1^st degree of Magha – Was supposed to marry into a sardar family and such proposals were there from long time! However, stayed away from marriage itself as didn’t like the boys of those families (Connection to Sardar families of Peshwa!). Didn’t want to compromise at all with the partner! The 8^th 12^th house connection of MAGHA shows deficit of Karma in the maternal family and tussles and problems with court and legal and so on.

(21)  Two examples where Chandra in DHANU MOOLA in 7^th house first 3 degrees – married to higher and such sardar style families but the boy was no good and a moron and ended up taking responsibility of the whole family until the kids grew up!!

(22)  In PRASHNA Kundali – this nakshatra shows direction of EAST predominantly and people or persons who belong to GOVT or ROYAL or BIG Orgs like TATA or GE etc.

(23)  WIHTOUT THINKING OF DESIRE & DESTINY of the soul and the past birth Karma – analysis of any planets is a RISK but more so when they are in KETU and RAHU nakshatra as then family history and DNA repetition is GREAT!

(24)  DON BRADMAN had MANGAL & SURYA and GURU in Magha Nakshatra – DHANU lagna and Chandra in Singh but in Vargottam Poorva nakshatra. Budh in Poorva. 5 planets in Singh rahsi 9^th house. One doesn’t need to explain his MANGAL achievements! :) :) GREAT captain too as SINGH planets and also administrator for the rest of the life!! All in all An AMAZING ROYAL person! Nakshatra swami of GURU SURYA MANGAL is KETU – KETU in the 1^st house in Moola nakshatra – physical ability! :) Uchcha KETU in Moola nakshatra! Adds idealism and disciplined and royal connection!

(25)  Sachin Tendulkar SINGH lagna - MAGHA Nakshatra! MESH Surya owner of the 1^st house also in 9^th house Uchcha Rashi in ASHWINI (Ketu) nakshatra.

(27)  Would have mentioned Imran Khan’s Singh/Magha lagna and Mangal in Moola/Dhanu Ashwini Chandra but don’t want too!!!

One quick example:
Following formation in the 1^st house of a chart I saw recently – issues with paternal grandfather (Rahu in Magha with Mangal close) with brain tumor but GURIU with it so he got good enough longevity, heart history in the family, own kid had heart issues (as Panchamesh & Kids kaarak Guru in Magha wakri and with Rahu Mangal an Wakri SHANI)  SHANI  even  though far away is in SURYA Nakshatra Uttara – Double Surya – Surya Rashi and Surya Nakshatra and hence heart connection of Shani is strong) KETU in Mangal Nakshatra and SHANI Mangal in Singh – maternal family also heart issues.
